In the early morning our Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel or Nile Cruise to Abydos for a 3-hour drive to explore the temples of Dendera and Abydos on the west bank of the Nile. On your way, you will enjoy the rural life of Egyptian farmers, as the road to get there is flanked by green lands and farms.

Abydos: 

Abid al-Ahram Temple is located around 200 km to the north of Luxor. This amazing temple is one of the most preserved temples in Egypt, with its delicate reliefs and vivid colors. It will take you back through time to see the greatness of the ancient Egyptian architecture and art.

This temple was built by the pharaoh Seti I, and it was completed by his son, Pharaoh Ramesses II, in honor of the god Osiris, the god of the afterlife, in ancient Egypt. There you will also visit the false tomb of the god Osiris (osirion), which was one of the places visited by the ancient Egyptian pligrims.

After visiting the Abydos temple, you will drive back around 120 to reach the Denedra temple.

Dendera Temple:

It's one of the most intact temples in Egypt. It was built by the Ptolemies (the successors of Alexander the Great in Egypt) to the Cow Goddess Hathor, the Goddess of Motherhood, love, and music in ancient Egypt.

This temple is famous for the Dendera Zodiac, the reliefs, and the restored ceilings of the Hathor Temple.
